Are you acknowledging or seeking acknowledgment?

I took a hike yesterday instead of gluing myself to my chair in front of the computer. Generated some clarity and some great ideas that I'm excited to share with you. Here's one of them: My list got to about 30 items on that hike. Interesting how sometimes the hardest step in making lists like these is actually getting started. First there was a long silence. Then, once I set the intention of finding ways to acknowledge myself, things just started floating to the surface. Today I'll set a time for 15 minutes and see how many items I can get to in that time. Practice practice practice!

    Great suggestion for a daily practice. It makes sense that filling up your own tank first will put you in the right frame of mind to then give the same to others. I bet that looking back at what you have already accomplished on a regular basis, instead of focusing on what you have not yet achieved, will also do a world of good for self-motivation.
