Individualized Coaching Relationship

Here’s where I am right now with my coaching philosophy:

  • Making a small daily commitment to change can be more powerful than trying to take a big leap right away.
  • Doing the daily practice and getting specific, immediate feedback is as important as (and perhaps more effective than) having a weekly check-in by phone.
  • I’m interested in facilitating lasting changes, and teaching you to apply tools that will set you free. I want to coach you to be your own coach.
  • I have no idea what will “work” for you, or what will be “best” for you. I am sharing what I know right now from all of my experience to date and what I’ve learned. Your job is to tell me where I’m wrong.
  • I am committed to creating the space for you to discover and declare what you really need, and be confident that it’s OK.
  • I may or may not be the right coach or teacher for you, but I am totally open to finding out.
  • Everyone has a different process. You may need different teachers at different times in your life. I’m open to being a teacher to you, in whatever way that means at the time we show up in each other’s life.

My current 1-on-1 coaching programs involve a foundation of customized* e-mail coaching (with questions, exercises to do in real life, links to additional reading, audio, and video) with periodic phone (or Skype for non-US clients) check-ins (from once a week to once a month). I recommend considering at least a 3-month commitment initially, starting with weekly phone check-ins during the first month and then phasing into one of the other options.

For San Francisco Bay Area residents, I offer phone coaching as well as Healing Hike sessions, utilizing the natural beauty of trails and beaches in our local area.

*I do not use autoresponders or pre-sequenced templates. E-mail coaching is interactive, and individualized for where you are in your process. What you put in will determine what you get out of the process. Think of it as daily accountability and guidance, which you can access at your own convenience, and review as many times as you need to later on.
